Biography

Tao Chen was born in Shanghai, China, in 1983. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in microelectronics and solid state physics from Fudan University, Shanghai in 2005. And he got Master of Science degree (cum laude) in electronics engineering from TUDelft, Netherlands, in 2007. After completing his master thesis within the Department of Electronic Components, Technology and Materials (ECTM), DIMES, TUDelft in April 2007, he continued to work as a Phd student with ECTM, DIMES, Delft University of Technology, Delft, the Netherlands. His research interests include low temperature (<100oC) high performance TFTs for flexible and medical application, CSL grain boundaries, location and orientation controlled single grain TFT for 3D-IC and new type of grain filter for LCD application.
