dr. Luutzen Wymenga

Luutzen Wymenga is a medical doctor (MD, Rijksuniversiteit Groningen) and holds a master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering (TU Delft) as well as a propedeuse in Industrial Design (TU Delft). He is currently doing PhD research in the group of prof. Kouchi Zhang and prof. Willem van Driel, developing devices for virus/aerosol sampling and detection in ambient air.

His interests lie at the crossroads of technology and medicine/biology, with a special focus on microbial detection techniques. In his free time, Luutzen likes to read history and economics books, produce electronic music and play soccer.
