Biography

Mudassir Husain received his B.Sc. from SDSUV University, India, in 2017 and his M.Sc. (Physics) from GKV University, India, in 2019. During his M.Sc. thesis, he worked on “Study on Structural and Optical properties Pb doped in ZnSc thin film”. Owing to his willingness to develop a better understanding of the experimental and technological aspects of semiconductor Physics and Material Science. He pursued research as his career to utilize his knowledge and potential. Therefore, he completed a second master’s degree M.Tech. (Solid-State Materials) from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, India in 2022. During his M.Tech. thesis, he focused on “Fabrication and Characterization of deep ultraviolet photodetectors on MOCVD grown β-Ga2O3 thin films”. Further, he joined the photonics group at KAUST University Saudi Arabia as a research intern from June 2022 to December 2022 and worked on Photonic crystals and COMSOL Multiphysics software and fortunately published a paper as a co-author.

In March 2023, he joined the Electronic Components, Technology and Materials (ECTM) group as a research scholar. Currently, he is a Ph.D. candidate and works with Prof Sten Vollebregt at TU Delft. He will pay particular attention to “Graphene-based gas sensors for applications in agriculture”.
