MSc Shanliang Deng

PhD student
Electronic Components, Technology and Materials (ECTM), Department of Microelectronics

Themes: Micro/Nano System Integration and Reliability

Biography

Shanliang Deng was born in China in 1997. He received her BSc degree in Tianjin University (TJU) at the School of Precision Instrument and Optoelectronics in 2019. His BSc thesis was done at University of Twente in the Applied Microfluidics for Bioengineering Research group (AMBER). Shanliang started his MSc study of Electrical Engineering, track Microelectronics, in 2019 at TU Delft. Since August 2020, he started his MSc thesis project ‘Interactive optoelectronics system’ in Electronic Components, Technology and Materials (ECTM) group. The aim of this project is to design and building up a high resolution, high speed and high-intensity micro-LED matrix for optogenetics stimulation.

He is now a full-time PhD student in both TU Delft and Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC). The main research topic is optical-electrical system integration for biomedical applications. Currently, he is developing an automated optical atrial fibrillation (AF) termination system based on AI and optogenetics technology.
